Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and execute company-wide and project-specific safety programs
• Enforce safety standards on jobsites and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations
• Conduct employee training and develop safe work plans for all project phases
• Manage hazard assessment activities through safety inspections and data analysis
• Conduct incident investigations and perform root cause analyses
• Develop site-specific emergency evacuation and response plans
• Inspect safety equipment and recommend replacements
• Promote a behavior-based safety culture on job sites

Requirements

• 1-2 years of construction safety experience
• Experience overseeing large commercial or industrial projects
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local construction safety laws
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety compliance systems like Hammertech
• Ability to work onsite in Lebanon, Indiana for the project lifecycle (approx. 24 months)
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work at elevations exceeding 30 feet
• Willingness to obtain OSHA 30 and First Aid certification within the first month

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Smartsheet experience
• Working towards Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification
