Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Assist with reporting and investigating dangerous observations, near-misses, and incidents
• Support the management team in implementing necessary corrective and preventive actions
• Perform assessments of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure correct maintenance and distribution
• Lead and coordinate AMO meetings
• Draft and revise risk assessments
• Ensure the Safety Action Plan meets Danish environmental and safety regulations and aligns with company needs
• Motivate and inspire employees to improve the overall safety culture
• Prepare monthly safety reports for management
• Plan safety training courses in collaboration with plant management and European safety leads

Requirements

• Relevant education in NEBOSH, HSE, or ISO 45001:2018
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar safety role
• Fluency in both Danish and English (written and verbal)
• Proven experience in statistical analysis, risk assessments, and implementing control processes
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Strong communication, time management, and collaborative skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Interlex software
• Experience implementing environmental and safety improvement projects
