Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Administer compliance with the safety program and lead accident prevention efforts
• Conduct site inspections of project work areas and equipment
• Develop, organize, and implement safety related programs
• Assist in accident investigations and determine root causes
• Perform and document jobsite inspections and audits focusing on hazard recognition
• Coordinate and conduct safety meetings and training programs
• Participate in regulatory agency inspections and investigations

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience
• Experience with bridge and roadway projects
• Experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, tunnel, or transportation projects
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, EHS, or a related field
• Or a nationally recognized safety certification (CHST, OHST, STS, STSC, or BCSP credential)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction regulations
• Ability to work night shift and overtime
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and climb multiple flights of stairs

Benefits

• $40 - $45/hr DOE
• Full-time with paid overtime
• $125/day per diem (7 days per week) for qualified non-local candidates
