About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer compliance with the safety program and lead accident prevention efforts
- Conduct site inspections of project work areas and equipment
- Develop, organize, and implement safety related programs
- Assist in accident investigations and determine root causes
- Perform and document jobsite inspections and audits focusing on hazard recognition
- Coordinate and conduct safety meetings and training programs
- Participate in regulatory agency inspections and investigations
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience
- Experience with bridge and roadway projects
- Experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, tunnel, or transportation projects
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, EHS, or a related field
- Or a nationally recognized safety certification (CHST, OHST, STS, STSC, or BCSP credential)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction regulations
- Ability to work night shift and overtime
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and climb multiple flights of stairs
Benefits
- $40 - $45/hr DOE
- Full-time with paid overtime
- $125/day per diem (7 days per week) for qualified non-local candidates
