Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and procedures
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies
• Organize and facilitate safety training programs for employees
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation
• Act as a liaison between management and employees to promote a safety-first culture
• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics
• Respond to safety concerns from employees and take appropriate actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety role within the construction or environmental industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Must have an OSHA 30 certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in safety (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST)
