Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of safety, environmental, and quality systems across the site
• Work closely with project and construction teams to provide guidance on safety requirements and best practices
• Act as a key point of contact for safety, environmental, and quality matters on site
• Conduct site audits and inspections to identify opportunities for improvement
• Assist in analysing audit findings and implementing system improvements
• Prepare reports and documentation for project teams and senior leadership
• Support the delivery of safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives
• Assist in preparing work method statements, project plans, and inspection and test plans
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety systems and processes

Requirements

• Experience or a strong interest in safety, environmental, or quality within construction or a related industry
• Relevant qualification in Work Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (or currently working towards one)
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with site-based teams
• Ability to build relationships and influence positive safety behaviours
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and work collaboratively
• Understanding of safety legislation and compliance requirements is desirable
• Flexibility to work on site and travel as required
