Safety Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the Safety Compliance program for Disney Cruise Line by assisting the DPA in maintaining compliance with the Safety Management System and relevant international, national, and flag state regulations.
• Conduct SMS/ISM audits, lead investigations, and develop Tiered Audit Programs across multiple departments.
• Act as the Deputy DPA for Disney Adventure, reporting directly to the Disney Cruise Line DPA.
• Liaison with Port State authorities to monitor and resolve deficiencies related to ISM, ISPS, and MLC.
• Collaborate with Marine and Technical Operations to review action plans for audit non-conformities and continuous improvement reports.
• Lead investigations on Disney Adventure and support other investigations as required by leadership.
• Represent Disney Adventure on Ship and Shore Safety Committees.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in marine safety and compliance, specifically within cruise safety and compliance.
• Technical education with substantial experience in cruise safety.
• Strong understanding of complex marine and technical systems.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain productive professional relationships.
• Effective communication skills with experience presenting at all organizational levels.
• Willingness and ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISM Code Lead Auditor certification or completion of an accredited ISO 9001 lead auditor training course.
• In-depth knowledge of Classification Society Rules, ISM, SOLAS, MLC, ISPS, MARPOL, STCW, ILO, and IGF Code.
• Advanced teamwork, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.
