Safety & Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support company safety policies, compliance procedures, and transportation safety programs
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, HazMat, and DOT Drug and Alcohol regulations
• Manage and monitor ELD, telematics, and in-cab camera systems (e.g., Samsara, Netradyne, Motive)
• Maintain electronic driver qualification (DQ) files and track CDL, medical card, and HazMat endorsements
• Assist with investigating and documenting vehicle accidents, fuel spills, and workplace injuries
• Support driver onboarding, safety training initiatives, and quarterly safety meetings
• Monitor CSA scores, violations, and fleet safety trends to generate performance reports

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in transportation safety, DOT compliance, fleet operations, or logistics compliance
• Strong working knowledge of FMCSA regulations, Hours-of-Service, and HazMat transportation rules
• Experience with ELD systems and fleet safety/telematics platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• High school diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree
• Experience with safety/compliance software systems and reporting platforms
