Safety & Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support company safety policies, compliance procedures, and transportation safety programs
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, HazMat, and DOT Drug and Alcohol regulations
• Manage and monitor ELD, telematics, and in-cab camera systems (e.g., Samsara, Netradyne, Motive)
• Maintain electronic driver qualification (DQ) files, CDL expirations, and medical card requirements
• Assist with investigating and documenting vehicle accidents, fuel spills, and workplace injuries
• Support driver onboarding, orientation, and ongoing safety training initiatives
• Generate safety, compliance, and operational performance reports to monitor CSA scores and fleet trends

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in transportation safety, DOT compliance, fleet operations, or logistics compliance
• Strong working knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours-of-Service compliance
• Experience with ELD systems and Hazardous Materials transportation regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• High school diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree
• Experience with transportation safety platforms and compliance software
• Experience managing DOT Drug and Alcohol testing programs
