Safety & Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support company safety policies, compliance procedures, and transportation safety programs
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, HazMat, and DOT Drug and Alcohol regulations
• Manage and monitor ELD, telematics, and in-cab camera systems such as Samsara, Netradyne, Motive, or Geotab
• Maintain electronic driver qualification (DQ) files and track CDL, medical cards, and HazMat endorsements
• Assist with investigating vehicle accidents, fuel spills, workplace injuries, and near misses
• Support driver onboarding, orientation, and ongoing safety training initiatives
• Monitor CSA scores, violations, and fleet safety trends
• Support DOT audit preparation and compliance reviews

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in transportation safety, DOT compliance, fleet operations, or logistics compliance
• Strong working knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours-of-Service compliance
• Experience with ELD systems and Hazardous Materials transportation regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• High school diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree
• Experience with transportation safety platforms and compliance software
