Safety Calibration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Handle and track calibration requirements for Diesel, Gasoline, and EV powertrain systems
• Coordinate calibration requirements between customer projects, calibration projects, and function teams
• Perform offline calibration of monitoring software using Matlab/Simulink and internal Bosch tools
• Prepare test cases to meet ISO safety standards
• Verify calibration through testing and validation
• Support regional teams in the execution and documentation of vehicle tests
• Participate in design reviews for functionality development in monitoring software
• Provide support for quotations and resource planning

Requirements

• B.E. or M.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, E&C, EEE, or Mechatronics
• 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in calibrating torque-based control systems (gasoline and diesel)
• Proficiency with model-based calibration tools such as INCA, Uniplot, Cameo, ASCMO, or AVL Puma
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems
• Knowledge of engine combustion processes and emissions formulation
• Skilled in statistical testing techniques like Design of Experiments (DoE)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret numerical data

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of engine performance, drivability, and vehicle performance evaluation
• Experience with Emission & OBD
• Knowledge of control systems
• Knowledge of Sensors and Motronics
