Safety Assurance Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical services to the Safety Assurance section to ensure timely reporting of safety issues, deficiencies, and non-compliances.
• Coordinate and prepare quality control safety data packs for the Safety Review Board and various stakeholder meetings.
• Develop and manage control charts for Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) to ensure accurate statistical analysis and trending.
• Produce monthly safety performance reports and provide justifications for conclusions and recommendations.
• Lead root cause analyses and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and evaluate key safety assurance metrics to track organizational performance and maintain SMS compliance.
• Prepare and submit quarterly safety performance monitoring reports and statistical data to the GCAA.

Requirements

• Degree level education is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience.
• Strong analytical skills, ideally gained through auditing in a safety or regulatory environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering.
• Valid Maintenance Engineer License.
