Safety and Health Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Support and drive ISO certification efforts and continuous improvement of EHS programs
• Identify and mitigate workplace hazards across plant and administrative areas
• Conduct daily line walks, audits, inspections, and spot checks
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
• Support equipment reviews, mechanical and ergonomic risk assessments
• Assist in implementation of site-specific EHS programs including LOTO, confined space, and fall protection
• Conduct industrial hygiene sampling, safety inspections, and respirator fit testing
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies like fire and EMS

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of NFPA and IFC standards
• Experience with ISO certification efforts and EHS compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, or CHMM
