About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide practical, on-site safety advice and support to project teams
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, project safety plans, and standards
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Assist with incident investigations and support the implementation of corrective actions
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training
- Support subcontractor management and ensure alignment with safety expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Safety Advisor or similar role within construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and safety management systems
- Relevant qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety (e.g., Cert IV or Diploma in WHS)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced alliance environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically on civil or road projects
