High School Diploma or GED, Associates or Bachelors degree OR 48 college hours, Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate, Experience working with children, Ability to use audiovisual equipment
About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor students referred to In-School Suspension to ensure a controlled and conducive environment
- Assist students with academic assignments, including tutoring in various subjects under professional supervision
- Support distance learning and virtual instruction requirements
- Work with teachers to acquire and return class assignments
- Assist in recording attendance, maintaining inventories, and preparing program reports
- Report attendance to the attendance clerk and assist with student lunch retrieval
- Perform other program-related duties as assigned by the counselor or supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or a minimum of 48 completed college hours
- Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate
- Previous experience working with children
- Ability to use audiovisual equipment, copiers, and other office technology
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
