About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and repair molding equipment including mold presses, die trim presses, and related machinery.
- Perform process maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical and hydraulic equipment, including controllers, thermocouples, and gauges.
- Manage equipment documentation such as timers and temperatures, and calibrate scales to precise weights.
- Assist Maintenance and the Machine Shop with major equipment repairs and component replacements.
- Schedule molding operations and make decisions regarding necessary changes to meet production requirements.
- Inspect equipment periodically for abnormal wear or broken parts and take corrective actions like reordering or planning rebuilds.
- Direct the work of others regarding equipment assignments and manage associate scheduling and overtime.
- Ensure quality assurance by spraying mold release on stopper molds and troubleshooting the extrusion process.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
- 2-3 years of machine operating experience preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months of technical troubleshooting experience desired.
- Ability to work a 3-2-2-3 night shift schedule (8p-8a).
