RTU Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of RTU, PLC, and SCADA systems for water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation system faults to minimize downtime
• Conduct system health checks, backups, firmware updates, and configuration management
• Modify and optimize RTU logic to meet operational needs
• Integrate RTUs with PLCs and SCADA systems using standard industrial protocols
• Prepare maintenance reports, technical documentation, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports
• Maintain and troubleshoot control panels, instrumentation, and field devices

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in RTU, PLC, and SCADA maintenance
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering
• Hands-on experience with TBOX RTUs and PLC platforms including Schneider M580, Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix, or Siemens S7-300/400/1500/PCS7
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQTT, and DNP3
• Ability to work independently on-site and support 24/7 operations
• Valid Qatar Driving License
