About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll, and provisions
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, resolving reconciling items with clarity and pace
- Support cash flow forecasting and reporting, providing clear analysis of movements
- Produce RTR reporting to meet internal and external requirements
- Respond to ad-hoc queries with well-considered analysis, prioritizing effectively during close cycles
- Identify and support improvements to processes, controls, and documentation in partnership with Finance and BBS colleagues
Requirements
- Part-qualified accountant (studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, or a willingness to begin studies)
- Sound understanding of month-end close and balance sheet accounting principles
- Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting audit processes
- Proficiency in Excel with the ability to work confidently with data and explain movements clearly
- Ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
