RTL Design Engineer, Sr Lead

Responsibilities

• Develop RTL for multiple logic blocks using VHDL and/or Verilog
• Run frontend tools to perform linting, clock domain crossing (CDC) checks, and synthesis
• Collaborate with the physical design team on design constraints and timing closure
• Partner with the power team to drive power optimization
• Work closely with the verification team on test plans, coverage plans, and coverage closure
• Implement power/clock gating techniques and industry-standard or custom DFT techniques
• Interface with cross-functional teams including Architecture, Test, Product, and CAD to define and implement specifications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of Hardware Engineering experience (or equivalent advanced degree)
• Extensive experience in RTL development (Verilog/VHDL) including functional and structural design
• Strong knowledge of ASIC design flow from RTL to GDSII
• Proficiency with simulation systems (e.g., Modelsim, VCS) and synthesis tools (e.g., Design Compiler)
• Familiarity with static timing analysis (STA) tools and linting/CDC tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of processor architecture and microarchitecture implementation
• Experience with microprocessor integration and low-power design
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Shell, or Tcl for productivity
• Experience with physical design flows (RTL2GDS) and industry-standard tools like ICC2
• Knowledge of transistor-level implementation and memory subsystem design
