About the role
Responsibilities
Depending on the specific role within the Royalties team, your responsibilities may include:
Royalty Accounting
- Prepare, review, and analyze capitalized balances, royalty payables, and recoupable costs.
- Perform balance sheet account analysis related to artist, copyright, union, and foreign royalties.
- Review foreign royalty expenses and prepare monthly accrual vs. actual analysis.
- Monitor and analyze expenses to ensure proper accounting treatment and prepare necessary journal entries.
- Review and improve internal controls.
Royalty Operations
- Interpret artist, producer, and third-party contracts to ensure accurate royalty obligation coding.
- Prepare and review accurate royalty statements as contractually required.
- Manage sales and suspense items, including reviewing new release schedules and running sales queries.
- Conduct unrecouped balance analysis and research variance reporting.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries regarding assigned accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
- Relevant professional work experience in a finance or royalties capacity.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (including Pivot tables and VLOOKUP), and Outlook.
- Fluency in both Polish and English (written and oral) at a professional standard.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using SAP, EROS, or JIRA.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple corporate systems.
