ROV Pilot Technician I

Responsibilities

• Pilot the ROV during subsea operations including navigation, station keeping, and visual inspection
• Assist in manipulator operations for intervention tasks and object recovery
• Support launch and recovery operations (LARS/TMS) and manage deck safety
• Monitor ROV telemetry, video feeds, sonar, and sensor data
• Conduct pre- and post-dive checks and maintain documentation
• Perform first-line fault-finding and corrective maintenance on hydraulic, electrical, and propulsion systems
• Undertake planned maintenance on ROV systems and tooling

Requirements

• Minimum 180 days offshore as ROV Pilot Technician II within the last 12 months
• Valid IMCA Company Member Competence Certificate or completed IMCA Competence Portfolio
• Technical qualification in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic disciplines
• Successful completion of IMCA-approved ROV Introductory Training (IMCA R002)
• OPITO approved BOSIET with CA-EBS, MIST, and OEUK Medical
• Experience piloting observation or work-class ROVs
• Ability to work rotational offshore shifts in physically demanding conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with subsea tooling or sensors
• Practical experience with integration checks and deck layout setup
