Route Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases and hard goods orders
• Perform all required pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
• Complete all required FDA/DOT documentation and track deliveries using handheld devices
• Maintain truck cleanliness and ensure compliance with DOT standards
• Establish and maintain positive customer relations through professional in-person communication
• Monitor customer needs to maintain proper cylinder levels and minimize emergency deliveries
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
• Strictly observe all company and industry safety rules

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year of professional driving experience
• Valid CDL Class A or B with a Hazmat Endorsement
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and handle cylinders weighing up to 600 lbs
• Ability to meet all physical qualification standards imposed by the DOT
• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• Flexibility to work overtime as required
