Route Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely upload, deliver, and download hardgoods orders and compressed gas cylinders to customers
• Return empty cylinders to the plant for refilling
• Maintain accurate load manifests and vehicle documentation, ensuring counts balance with shipping documents
• Establish and maintain positive customer relations through professional in-person communication
• Monitor customer inventory levels to minimize or eliminate the need for emergency deliveries
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
• Strictly observe all company and industry safety rules

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year of driving experience
• Valid CDL Class A or B with HAZMAT endorsement
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• Physical ability to stand and walk on concrete for extended periods
• Ability to handle cylinders regularly weighing 150 pounds, up to a maximum of 600 pounds
• Must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by the DOT
• Flexibility to work overtime as required
