Route Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver gas cylinders to customers in the Ottawa area
• Load and unload cylinders, ensuring quantities and styles match shipping documents
• Check and placard vehicles in accordance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance needs
• Complete shipping orders, trip reports, fuel tickets, and other necessary paperwork
• Follow all established operating and safety procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience
• Valid G license with an incident-free driver's abstract
• Ability to lift and manipulate various cylinder sizes and weights up to 60 pounds
• Current TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) training
• Current WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of safe compressed gas handling
