About the role

Responsibilities

Prepare meats, fish, vegetables, sauces, salads, and desserts according to established recipes and chef directions
Ensure proper food presentation following set standards and sanitary measures
Maintain sufficient "mise-en-place" of assigned station before and after meal periods
Interact with customers and execute orders efficiently
Follow all health, safety, and university restaurant regulations

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years experience as a Rounds Person or similar culinary training
Excellent knife skills and manual dexterity (chopping, slicing, dicing, etc.)
Ability to stand for long periods and work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
Ability to lift and/or move equipment in excess of 50 lbs
Ability to withstand high temperatures
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
