About the Company
Casa Esperanza, Inc. is a bilingual/bicultural behavioral health treatment provider serving Boston and the Merrimack Valley. Their mission is to empower individuals and families to recover from addiction, trauma, mental illness, and other chronic medical conditions through comprehensive, integrated care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve three healthy meals per day for approximately 75 individuals
- Follow recipes and directions provided by the Kitchen Manager
- Ensure a variety of healthy snacks are available to residents
- Cook from scratch and manage workload efficiently
- Serve and store food in accordance with health and safety standards
- Stock food supplies including fresh produce, dry goods, and pantry items
- Perform quality control on food leaving the kitchen
- Request inventory items to maintain demand
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience cooking for large groups
- Experience using various kitchen equipment and supplies
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds repetitively
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to meet physical requirements including walking, stooping, and kneeling
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing Latin American cuisine
- Fluency in Spanish
