About the Company

Casa Esperanza, Inc. is a bilingual/bicultural behavioral health treatment provider serving Boston and the Merrimack Valley. Their mission is to empower individuals and families to recover from addiction, trauma, mental illness, and other chronic medical conditions through comprehensive, integrated care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve three healthy meals per day for approximately 75 individuals
• Follow Kitchen Manager guidelines and recipes to cook from scratch
• Ensure a variety of healthy snacks are available to residents
• Serve and store food in accordance with health and safety standards
• Stock food supplies including fresh produce, dry goods, and pantry items
• Perform quality control on food leaving the kitchen
• Request inventory items to maintain demand
• Organize and coordinate the purchase of food, supplies, and equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of food preparation and kitchen management experience
• Experience preparing meals for 75+ guests per meal
• Ability to lift repetitively from 25 to 50 pounds
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to meet physical requirements including walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• SERV Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience preparing Latin American cuisine
• Fluency in Spanish
