Room Service Order Taker

Responsibilities

• Answer In-Room Dining phone calls promptly and professionally using approved telephone etiquette
• Provide menu recommendations and upsell items by demonstrating extensive knowledge of food and beverages
• Accurately record guest orders, dietary restrictions, and special requests in the POS system
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure precise preparation and timely delivery
• Inspect trays and trolleys for complete setup, including correct cutlery, condiments, and presentation
• Deliver orders to guest rooms with a warm, respectful demeanor while adhering to privacy protocols
• Manage the signing of bills and posting of charges to guest rooms
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene standards, and SFDA guidelines
• Conduct regular floor sweeps to clear used trays and trolleys from guest corridors

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in In-Room Dining or F&B service within a 4 or 5-star hotel environment
• High school diploma or a hospitality certificate/degree
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Familiarity with hotel POS software and telephone switchboard operations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Strong communication, active listening, and composure under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Spoken Arabic skills to engage with local corporate clients and families
• Valid Municipality Health Card
