Rolling Mill Operator

Responsibilities

• Assist rolling mill positions by keeping product moving at needed pace
• Assist during maintenance days in all areas as directed
• Perform mill water system upkeep and HMD system readiness
• Log all mill sizing in Mill Sizing app with Macro
• Clean furnace debris and mill scale
• Use Ajax to size intermediate and finishing mills for set up
• Keep all stands (1-16) at designed size
• Calibrate, clean, and set up including adjusting roll stands
• Maintain expected production rates
• Inspect new stands after installation to ensure proper set-up
• Monitor equipment operation including speed, pressure, and temperature
• Perform various duties including material loading, furnace operation, bundling, and forklift operation

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude
• Excellent writing skills
• Previous experience in manufacturing
