Roll Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble bearing housings and internal roll components using air tools, hand tools, and bearing pullers
• Inspect roll components and parts for quality and wear
• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
• Support quality goals through adherence to a quality maintenance program
• Follow all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• 2 years of relevant manufacturing, mechanical, or millwright experience
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, chains, and sprockets
• Ability to read blueprints and perform precision measurements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and documentation
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, pushing, and twisting for extended periods
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training or vocational certification in a related mechanical field
