Roll Builder/Operator

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, and technical documents to guide the building process
• Locate and retrieve rolls using overhead cranes and various material handling equipment
• Prepare rolls for installation by setting extrusion temperatures and installing screen packs
• Measure all required building dimensions and verify finished roll sizes to ensure job requirements are met
• Wrap rolls with Polyester Tape or Nylon and perform end-plating as required
• Complete all necessary paperwork, including inspection reports, job router information, and operator sign-offs
• Safely operate roll building equipment and unload machinery without damage to personnel or equipment
• Record inventory levels for rubber usage and deliver finished rolls to designated staging areas

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Experience reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting technical documents
• Proficiency in using measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and durometer gauges
• Strong basic math skills, including accurate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
