Robotics Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end robot system architecture
• Integrate perception, planning, targeting, embedded controls, sensors and compute
• Work across robotics, embedded, and perception teams
• Build reliable field-ready robotic systems designed for rugged outdoor deployment
• Improve targeting reliability on uneven terrain
• Define latency budgets and system timing
• Debug full stack including ROS2, embedded firmware, sensors, and networking
• Design fail-safe and recovery behaviors
• Optimize compute pipelines for real-time performance
• Own robot performance in field trials

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in robotics or autonomous systems
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python
• Strong ROS2 architecture experience
• Strong Linux systems knowledge
• Experience integrating multiple sensors
• Experience working with embedded systems
• Experience building real-world robotic systems
• Understanding of perception, planning, calibration, and controls
• Strong debugging skills across hardware and software
