Robotics Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain production software for real-world robotic systems using C++ and Python
• Integrate robotics capabilities across perception, planning, controls, teleoperation, and platform software
• Improve software quality through testing, validation, fault handling, and performance tuning
• Investigate complex failures across software, sensors, networking, and hardware interfaces
• Build internal tools and workflows to improve developer velocity and observability
• Work directly with hardware to validate new features and iterate through real-world testing

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• 2+ years of professional experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, or complex embedded systems
• Demonstrated track record of deploying physical hardware products into the field
• Strong command of C++ and Python for production-level systems
• Experience in core robotics domains such as perception, motion planning, controls, or localization
• Strong comfort working in Linux development environments
• Ability to collaborate in-office 5 days per week in Milpitas, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in autonomous driving, drones, or mobile robotics in outdoor environments
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD systems
• Experience building tools for testing, simulation, telemetry, or log analysis
• Experience with robotics visualization tools like Foxglove, Grafana, or RViz
• Experience taking robotics software from prototype to production at fleet scale
