Robotics Software Engineer, Machine Learning

Responsibilities

• Develop ML solutions to improve product functionality and performance in collaboration with perception, navigation, and robotics engineers
• Lead the application of development results to real robots, ensuring rapid feature stabilization and performance improvement
• Identify ML-based development items through active communication with PMs, Sales, and other teams
• Manage the full development cycle of ML models, including data collection and refinement
• Mentor interns and team members

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field with industry experience, or Bachelor's in Computer Science with 4+ years of experience
• Strong theoretical understanding of Computer Vision (CV), Deep Learning (DL), or Reinforcement Learning
• Knowledge of image classification, object detection, and tracking algorithms
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++
• Experience with standard DL frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
• Experience with image data tools like OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib
• Understanding of the ML model development and deployment lifecycle
• Experience working with raw, un-preprocessed data
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple domains
• Proficiency in English communication

Preferred Qualifications

• High-level understanding of existing computer vision algorithms
• Experience using ROS
• Experience deploying ML models into production
• Experience developing and optimizing ML models for edge hardware
