About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own laser targeting pipeline end-to-end from perception to planning and actuation
  • Build robust path planning for uneven and rugged terrain
  • Work on depth camera perception including RGB-D, stereo, and NIR
  • Develop calibration pipelines for camera, robot, laser, and ground plane
  • Implement plant and weed detection, targeting, and execution
  • Work on manipulation and motion planning
  • Improve targeting accuracy under vibration, uneven terrain, motion blur, and lighting variation
  • Build ROS2 nodes for perception and planning
  • Optimize for real-time performance on onboard compute
  • Work closely with embedded and mechanical teams

Requirements

  • 2+ years in robotics, autonomy, or perception
  • Strong C++ and Python skills
  • Strong ROS2 experience
  • Very strong Linux proficiency
  • Experience with depth cameras and 3D perception
  • Experience with path planning and motion planning
  • Understanding of robot calibration
  • Comfortable working with embedded systems
  • Ability to debug hardware and software together
