About the role
Responsibilities
- Own laser targeting pipeline end-to-end from perception to planning and actuation
- Build robust path planning for uneven and rugged terrain
- Work on depth camera perception including RGB-D, stereo, and NIR
- Develop calibration pipelines for camera, robot, laser, and ground plane
- Implement plant and weed detection, targeting, and execution
- Work on manipulation and motion planning
- Improve targeting accuracy under vibration, uneven terrain, motion blur, and lighting variation
- Build ROS2 nodes for perception and planning
- Optimize for real-time performance on onboard compute
- Work closely with embedded and mechanical teams
Requirements
- 2+ years in robotics, autonomy, or perception
- Strong C++ and Python skills
- Strong ROS2 experience
- Very strong Linux proficiency
- Experience with depth cameras and 3D perception
- Experience with path planning and motion planning
- Understanding of robot calibration
- Comfortable working with embedded systems
- Ability to debug hardware and software together
