Robotics Engineer (Controls)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical engagements with partners and customers, including pre-sales visits and creating consulting proposals.
• Work alongside the Fresh Robotics team to align individual goals with company technology roadmaps.
• Integrate architectures and solutions into a cohesive product roadmap in partnership with Product Management.
• Define, analyze, and review software requirements to meet customer needs and performance standards.
• Design software architecture and interfaces using a model-based approach.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure software and hardware compatibility and performance.

Requirements

• BS/MS in controls engineering, robotics, computer science, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in robotics, including 2+ years specifically developing controls software.
• Deep knowledge of classical and modern control theory, feedback control, state estimation, and system identification.
• Experience with sensor fusion (IMU, GPS, LIDAR, RADAR) and modeling complex dynamical systems.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python, with a strong understanding of OOP, concurrency, and real-time programming.
• Hands-on experience with ROS and ROS2 Control.
• Experience with SLAM, path-planning, and deploying algorithms on mobile robots or robotic arms.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
