Responsibilities

• Build and own the data backbone on AWS using IoT Core, S3, ECR, Batch, ECS/EKS, and Step Functions
• Develop on-device data systems for edge PCs using MCAP/Protobuf with clean schema contracts
• Wrangle massive multimodal datasets including images, video, and time-series data
• Build MLOps and DataOps pipelines to automate data validation, labeling, and model training
• Ensure data quality through ingestion checks, schema validation, and drift detection
• Develop internal tools, UIs, and CLIs for data browsing and experiment tracking
• Partner with hardware, ML, and product teams to turn raw field data into smarter robots

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Extensive experience with AWS
• Systems engineering skills including networking, concurrency, and performance
• 2+ years of full-time experience (for B.S. holders) or 1+ years (for M.S./Ph.D. holders)
