Robotics Autonomy Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and execute high-level mission planning and autonomous action plans
• Develop mapping methods to transform sonar sensor data into navigable maps
• Enable adaptive mission execution in harsh, low-visibility environments
• Build capabilities for anomaly detection and localization of structural defects
• Integrate and optimize hardware drivers and low-level interfaces
• Develop middleware drivers and utilize Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) simulation
• Mentor and guide junior engineers

Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Proficiency in C++ and Python within a Linux environment
• Extensive experience with complex robotic systems and ROS1
• Proficiency in Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch
• Experience with 3D computer vision techniques
• Experience with SLAM and path planning algorithms
• Experience with sensor and actuator hardware integration
