Robotics Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead technical liaison to identify new opportunities, conduct demonstrations, and facilitate training to grow sales.
• Provide technical consultation on welding applications, automated equipment, and fabrication processes.
• Conduct on-site evaluations, product demonstrations, and trials to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored technical presentations and proposals.
• Assist in onboarding new clients and supporting them through the implementation phase.
• Support the quoting process and assist with technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM and prepare regular customer site visit reports.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and training sessions.

Requirements

• 15+ years of automated GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW-P, and Plasma welding experience.
• Solid understanding of weld processes on stainless, nickel, and low alloy materials.
• Ability to read architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints.
• Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical control systems.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays.
• Ability to move, transport, install, or remove equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in application support, equipment troubleshooting, and training within the welding/fabrication industry.
• Experience with automation or robotic welding systems.
• Experience using CRM software to track demonstrations and opportunities.
