Robotics Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product recommendations and develop robotic welding solutions to meet specific needs
• Collaborate with the Technical Solutions Manager to develop market strategies and value-added activities
• Support the Sales Team through selling, training, demonstrating, and validating ESAB solutions
• Work with internal and external machine shops to test PQR plates
• Develop PQR and WPS procedures for end users and write technical reports to support procedure development
• Support laboratory activities in Denton and conduct customer site visits across North America

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Welding Engineering or equivalent experience in an applications or welding engineering role
• Demonstrated experience with welding processes, specifically Robotic GMAW and GTAW
• Technical competency in FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW, as well as welding for general fabrication
• Experience qualifying welding procedures to AWS (D1.1 or D1.5) and/or ASME codes
• Proven ability to write PQRs and WPSs
• Ability to perform all processes in all positions robotically at the instructor level
