Full GMC registration, CCT or near completion, MBBS, FRCS, ATLS, Laparoscopic surgery experience

About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide operative exposure in theatre for elective and emergency laparoscopic and robotic colorectal work
- Manage postoperative care of inpatients
- Conduct outpatient clinics including one-stop flexible sigmoidoscopy services
- Manage day case surgery
- Engage in research, publications, and multicentre trials
Requirements
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- Completion of Surgical Training (CCT) or within 6 months of completion
- MBBS or equivalent
- FRCS or equivalent
- ATLS certification
- Significant experience in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery
- Experience in laparoscopic colorectal surgery
- Track record of publications and clinical research
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the NHS
- Higher degree or research experience
- Evidence of participation in audit
