About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and optimize robot programs for welding, assembly, painting, and material handling
- Collaborate with engineers to translate process requirements into robot motion sequences
- Integrate robotic systems with PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and sensors
- Utilize simulation software and offline programming tools to model movements and optimize cycle times
- Perform routine maintenance including robot calibration, lubrication, and component replacement
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to robot hardware, software, and sensors
- Implement safety protocols, risk assessments, and interlocks
- Create and maintain documentation including robot programs and troubleshooting guides
- Provide technical training to operators and maintenance personnel
Requirements
- 5 years of professional experience in automotive production
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of robotic kinematics and mechanical/electrical parts
- Ability to set up new robot systems
- Capability to teach processes like adhesive, weld spot, clinching, handling, MIG/MAG, and Laser application
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
