Robot Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and optimize robot programs for welding, assembly, painting, and material handling
• Collaborate with engineers to translate process requirements into robot motion sequences
• Integrate robotic systems with PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and sensors
• Utilize simulation software and offline programming tools to model movements and optimize cycle times
• Perform routine maintenance including robot calibration, lubrication, and component replacement
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to robot hardware, software, and sensors
• Implement safety protocols, risk assessments, and interlocks
• Create and maintain documentation including robot programs and troubleshooting guides
• Provide technical training to operators and maintenance personnel

Requirements

• 5 years of professional experience in automotive production
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of robotic kinematics and mechanical/electrical parts
• Ability to set up new robot systems
• Capability to teach processes like adhesive, weld spot, clinching, handling, MIG/MAG, and Laser application
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
