Robot Operator

Responsibilities

• Manufacture high-quality parts and assemblies using CNC mediums and precision measuring instruments in an aerospace production environment.
• Work with engineering requirements, work orders, prints, charts, and sketches to ensure manufacturing meets quality standards.
• Determine and adjust machine feeds, speeds, and work alignment using shop mathematics and precision tools.
• Machine proof new and revised part programs and make minor machine adjustments to ensure safe operation.
• Adapt tooling and holding fixtures to orient machine tool cutters and machining fixtures.
• Check parts for correct dimensions using height gages, gauge blocks, micrometers, calipers, and protractors.
• Verify that all work performed meets process and engineering specifications and identify any discrepancies.
• Assist in the training of other assembly personnel in installation and assembly techniques.

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience.
• Strong background in the aerospace or aviation industry.
• Proficiency in both CNC and conventional machining.
• Working knowledge of M codes and G codes.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to verify dimensions.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED, A levels, or GCSE).
• Ability to work a 2nd shift role, with flexibility to work other shifts as required.
• Must be able to successfully pass a skills demonstration.
