Roadway, Traffic Signals, And Lighting Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation of traffic signal systems, roadway lighting, and underground conduit systems
• Perform wire pulling, cable placement, and basic terminations under supervision
• Assist with trenching, excavation, backfilling, and site preparation
• Support installation of foundations, anchor bolts, and pole erection
• Load, unload, and stage materials, tools, and equipment
• Follow layout markings, instructions, and construction drawings
• Assist with testing and troubleshooting of installed systems
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Support traffic control setup and roadway work zone safety
• Participate in daily job briefings and safety meetings

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1–3 years of construction experience preferred
• Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment
• Willingness to learn roadway electrical systems and installation practices
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Strong safety awareness
