Roadway Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers on roadway engineering and design assignments for various project complexities
• Utilize drafting and modeling software to develop conceptual and detailed designs
• Perform design calculations, including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates
• Assist in the production and modification of technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications
• Help prepare detailed requisitions for material purchases, services, and subcontracts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of related work experience with road and highway projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Geopak, and/or OpenRoads
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to foster a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate
