Road Structures Specialist (Bridges, Tunnels)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in design review and construction supervision for the maintenance of bridges, viaducts, and tunnels
• Supervise construction and maintenance works, ensuring seamless communication with high-level clients
• Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, and material submittals
• Monitor the performance of engineers, inspectors, and surveyors
• Conduct site visits and inspections in coordination with structural engineers and QAQC teams
• Chair special meetings with service authorities, contractors, and subcontractors
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and ensure the accuracy of as-built records
• Oversee the implementation of safety procedures to achieve project safety goals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in the design and construction supervision of bridges and tunnels
• Proven experience in bridge/tunnel inspection, condition assessment, and identifying deterioration causes
• Extensive experience in bridge engineering, including maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction works
• Proficiency in bridge maintenance management systems
• Fluency in both Arabic and English with excellent technical writing skills
• Familiarity with industry practices and local/international design codes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with civil supervision and infrastructure projects specifically within the Gulf region
• Previous engineering consultancy experience within the UAE or GCC
• Ability to utilize advanced AI technology to analyze inspection data and generate reports
