RN/LPN

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
• Provide direct patient care, including wound treatments, colostomy changes, tube feedings, suctioning, and IV administration.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by physicians and monitor for adverse effects.
• Observe residents for changes in status and notify physicians and family members accordingly.
• Transcribe physician orders to medical records and ensure all orders are carried out accurately.
• Participate in the admission, discharge, and transfer processes for residents.
• Initiate, review, and update resident care plans to ensure holistic needs are met.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain high standards of resident care and safety.
• Ensure adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment is maintained on the unit.

Requirements

• Nursing degree from an accredited college/university or graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to perform clinical tasks including wound care and IV administration.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, and medical staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting.
