RnD Chemist

Responsibilities

• Develop new ink formulations using empirical design and modeling methods
• Design and formulate inkjet printing inks, focusing on optical density and durability
• Characterize print attributes and robustness
• Optimize new inks for drop formation and the printing process
• Collaborate with printer component designers to implement system-level changes
• Participate in cross-functional and global team leadership
• Co-develop materials with external suppliers

Requirements

• Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field
• Deep understanding of fundamental chemical mechanisms
• Expertise in pigment and dye chemistry, polymers in solution, and nanoparticle suspensions
• Knowledge of interfacial and surface chemistry
• Proficiency with analytical instruments and data interpretation
• Experience in wet chemistry or ink formulation
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Ability to solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming skills
• Familiarity with printing technology and color science
• Prior professional formulation experience
