Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN)

• Deliver nursing care responsibly and accountably as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the State of Michigan
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Uphold standards of professional performance including ethical practice, leadership, and evidence-based practice

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care under the direction of an RN or physician
• Inform patients and families about treatments, medications, and equipment in coordination with the healthcare team
• Document care provided via computer or written patient records in accordance with established guidelines

Requirements

For Registered Nurse (RN) applicants:

• Associates degree in Nursing
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 90 days)

For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applicants:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved nursing program

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program
• Previous healthcare experience
• State of Michigan Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license upon hire
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
