RN | Endoscopy Nurse

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessments and reassessments on all patients, reporting changes in condition to appropriate providers
• Administer moderate sedation and other medications as ordered by the gastroenterologist
• Prepare patients for endoscopy procedures and provide post-procedure care
• Monitor and maintain infection control procedures and safety in all work environments
• Document patient responses to each phase of the procedure experience
• Assist physicians during procedures and manage the care and processing of endoscopy equipment
• Provide patient education in response to identified needs

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current New Hampshire State Registered Nurse license
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 2 years of clinical specialty experience in endoscopy, ambulatory care, ICU, or perioperative nursing
• Ability to obtain ACLS certification within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
