RN Delegating Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight for residents in the assisted living program through assessments and clinical orders
• Safely delegate nursing tasks in accordance with Maryland COMAR regulations and Board of Nursing standards
• Provide training, coaching, and competency validation to the caregiving team
• Partner with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support admissions and transitions
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor medication administration and infection control

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland
• Maryland Board of Nursing–approved Delegating Nurse certification
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in assisted living, long-term care, or geriatric settings
• Current CPR and Adult First Aid certification
• Knowledge of Maryland Board of Nursing standards for nursing practice and delegation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delegating nursing tasks and overseeing medication administration
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems
• Completion of the 80-hour Assisted Living Manager training program
